Serge LaforestPresident

In 1991, while he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Music of McGill University teaching “Personal Computer Apllications in Music” and “Electronic Music Composition”, Serge co-founded Audio Z. He has since composed music for hundreds of advertising campaigns and several films. As much as he can be passionate about Japanese culture, world music, photography, jogging and swimming, his piece of work he is most proud of remains his little boy, Akira.

Stéphanie RousseauStudio Manager

Born on a bale of hay under the sweet breath of an ox, she decided at 18 to swap her rubber boots and the hay fork for Gucci high heels and the Big City. She tasted Senegal, breathed the air of New York and traveled the world to feed her endless sense of curiosity. Her happiness and contagious smile won’t leave anyone indifferent. You’ll be Team Stephanie in a heartbeat.

Vanessa SansfaçonStudio Manager

On evenings of relaxation and laziness, you will find Vanessa at the gym teaching a 3 hour Zumba and Bootcamp class. For her, vacations in Gaspésie are done by cycling 940 km and taking a stroll means running at least 10km through preferably rough terrain. She would make a lot of money being a spokesperson for Red Bull, but she prefers the hectic life of coordinating our studios. Vanessa fills the studio with her pure and soothing energy. OMMMMMM…

Stevo TrannTechnical Director/Media Distribution

As a true ninja, Steven is everywhere all at once. He is a photographer, a model and a unicorn wrangler in his free time. Thanks to his gift of ubiquity, he manages to work around being in the studio, the computer room and making a larger than life sound design for your next advertising campaign. His versatility and ZEST FOR LIFE make him an outstanding technician and an accomplished sound designer. Steven is everybody’s buddy, a muse and an example for many. Don’t be surprised if, one day, he was to become president of the United Nations.

Janik LaroseSound Technician

Janoune cherishes quickly executed and well done hard work. Now retired from the temple of gastronomy going by the motto “Eat fresh!”, Janoune prepares and attends your sessions with confidence and dedication. Her good humor and positive energy are only matched by the magnitude of her voice. Although she features an impressive number of piercings, she does not sink when swimming, and as they say, the dress does not make the man. Oh, and if you get lost in Saint-François on a misty Thursday evening, go for a walk to Smooth, she will surely be there, happy to help you.

Rémy SealeySound Technician

Ré-mi-fa, a highly respected Kung Fu master who secretly adores Space Jam, is more polite than the Queen of England and produces fabulous music in his free time. Rémy is always looking for the full understanding of what surrounds him, which makes him an invaluable resource in many situations. At first glance he may seem a little shy, but once you get to know him, you will see that he can always make you laugh with his quirky jokes and timely witty comments. No need to specify that he always puts his 124% in everything he does, especially when faced with a technical challenge. With him, there’s nothing to worry about; he will find a solution!

Martin RouillardSound Engineer/Operation Director

Blissful, optimist, hedonist, he’s been part of the team for over two decades. Tintin offers you a unique world of sound fuelled by his unbridled creativity, composer musicianship, recording engineering artistry and sound design wizardry. Let’s point out his collaboration with Bran Van 3000 at Jimi Hendrix’s legendary New York Electric Ladyland Studio. Tintin, lover of the flora and the wild, splits his time between the studio with his numerous fans, and on his little land ‘up north’ with his sweetheart and his three kids.

Luc ThériaultSound Engineer

Luc has the prestigious McGill University’s Master of Music in Sound Recording and he is an accomplished flutist. On top of that, his 20 years in the field make him an important asset when working on the most demanding projects. The fact that he is a dead ringer for Mr. Bean might explain the pleasant mood of his recording sessions. The next time you come to Audio Z, bring you camera and have your picture taken with Luc Bean. C’mon, don’t be shy, everybody does it!

Dominic CabanaSound Engineer

After a thorough exploration of Montréal’s post-production scene, Dominic joins the ranks of Z-team in 2002. Composed, his charming personality is what makes him so easy to love and a «must have» friend. Ask any international personality who came by our studio, they’ll say the same. Polyglot, dreamer and introspective, he perfects his general culture while commuting, with either detective stories, biographies or philosophy.

Alexandre Wang-LegentilSound Engineer

After attending the worldwide renowned Banff Centre Music & Sound Recording program and completing a degree in Classical Piano and Music Technology at McGill University, he is now at ease in the depths of post-production. Alex is first and foremost a passionate and a true music fan. He is actually dreaming of producing the next Radiohead. He is also an engaging character and, anybody would tell you, he’s soooooooo nice, his unbreakable smile spreads euphoria everywhere in the studio. Nothing less.

Alexandre CorriveauSound Engineer

Behind his good mama’s boy image hides a sensual dancer, whenever the «feeling» takes over. His tongue-in-cheek sense of humor also blends perfectly well with his studio stooges. Extraordinary golf player, master micro-brewer and fine guitar player (his rendition of Keane’s “Somewhere only we know” has melted more then one lady’s heart), nobody can deny, «Corr» is a jolly good fellow.
